FOUNDATION COURSE
Over the years we have had many enquiries from people wishing to learn more about the philosophy, theory and practice of Christian Spiritualism. These enquiries have come from Christian Spiritualists and members of the Greater World who wish to broaden their field of knowledge, from those who know nothing at all about Spiritualism but wish to find out, and from those who want to increase their ability to pass on information to others (for example, church officers and circle leaders).

The course will seek to give a broad-based foundation in the most important aspects pertaining to Christian Spiritualism and the Greater World. Participation in this course will be mandatory for those wishing to take the 2-year Greater World Medium's Study Course, which will lead to the Student obtaining a Greater World Certificate of Mediumship (CGWM).

There will be two Workshops, to which Students are expected to attend, and will lose an important part of their studies if they are not able to do so. However, we would not wish to prevent students living abroad, or those who are not able to undertake the necessary travelling within the UK, from taking part in the course. Attendance at the Workshops will therefore be desirable rather than mandatory.

Accreditation
No certificate will be issued at the end of the Foundation Course, but a letter will be sent to those completing the course successfully, confirming their participation and the papers studied.

Greater World Membership
In order to enroll on the Foundation Course, it will be a requirement that you are a current paid up member of the Greater World Association. For further details please contact the Greater World Headquarters.

AWARENESS CLASSES
Awareness Classes play an important part in the personal life of those who take part. Individuals learn about self-awareness, which is a necessary step in the development of Spiritual Healing for both Probationers and Full Registered Healers. For those who are seeking to develop their ‘mediumistic’ gifts it is an essential step in the furtherance of their advancement to a better understanding of themselves, the need of others and of the deeper philosophy that is required for their future work

Classes normally run in ten-week terms and are on-going throughout the year, with the usual holiday breaks. The maximum number of sitters is about twelve. Great emphasis is placed upon self-discipline and a professional approach to the task in hand. Regular attendance and punctuality are mandatory, and students are expected to read some of the books recommended to them by class leaders. The class leaders are keen to provide opportunities for their students to gain practical experience in a supportive environment as soon as they are ready to do so.

Interviews
Once the term has started new sitters will not normally be able to join, but anyone wishing to apply for a place in a class for the following term should telephone the Greater World Spiritual Centre on 0207 436 7555 a few weeks before the term starts, when an Application Form will be sent to you, and once returned, an interview with the appropriate Class Leader will be arranged. Interviews last about a quarter of an hour. It is a requirement that all students should be fully paid up members of the Greater World Association.

SPIRITUAL HEALING
A Foundation Course for those who wish to begin training as a Spiritual Healer and for Probationers who have not had the benefit of formal training and instruction.

It is a four-day course conducted over a period of four consecutive Saturdays.

The object of the course is to give a sound basic understanding of the nature of Healing Energy and to illustrate both by tutorial demonstration and student participation, its application and possible beneficial effects. Also to develop within the aspiring Healer, the ability to access and direct, at will, those energies whose source is Universal Consciousness. To emphasise and demonstrate, through word and action, the importance of a good patient/healer relationship.
